We put plastic masks over our faces,
and hid our imperfections.
We exchanged love for likes,
and courage for insecurity.
We became content to be dolls;
beautiful but lifeless objects.
We became uninterested in the interesting;
and consumed with the cool.
Somewhere along the way,
we stopped being human.
At VSCO, we celebrate humanness.
Humanness in all its messed up glory. In all its weirdness. In all its triumph. In all its imagination. In all its regrets. In all its redemption.
This is why we exist; to be a place where we — all of us — can simply be who we are.
Today, we're introducing VSCO Originals — exclusive original content on the VSCO platform exploring various perspectives and themes on humanity. It represents the joint efforts and passions of our in-house team, working in collaboration with members of the VSCO international community.
From odd phobias, to a former slave community in Kansas, to the process of creating a custom typeface, to a primer on decomposition, VSCO Originals are a celebration of all things human.
It represents mistakes and learning and failure and laughter and oddness and honesty and a reminder that you are never alone.
Let's be brave. Let's be honest. Let's be human again.
